THE OTHER DAY PART OF

the other day part of my neghborhood, including my house, experienced a power outage from about 2 pm to about 8 or so. i hate not having electricity. not tv. no compter. no electric stove. no light. no running water. and as i was thinking all those things and sitting on my couch. i realised what an annoying whiny human i am, and how annoyingly whiny everyone is. as my mom once said to me, the modern house is one of the greatest advancement that humanity has made in the course of its existance, and i agree. but people shouldn’t get so psyched out about not having a few creature comforts for a few hours. i felt kinda dumb. my friend doug was postulating that the power outage might have been caused by a sabateur, possibly named the “Park Viewabomber” (after the name of my housing complex), who justy cut the power so that all the suburban yuppy pansies in the neighborhood might actually take a look outsde and relaise how nice it is. it worked, because there were tons more people out walking and doing stuff than normal (t was also an abnormaly warm day as welll, however). well, just another dumb note from this pampered sap.
