HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I’M DOING THIS RANDOM

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! i’m doing this random early because today i turn 18, and i find it extremely amusing that I am now officially considered an adult. technically, i can vote, buy pornography, and get drafted into the canadian military (not that i necessarily want to do any of these things. well, maybe a few…). and yet all i’ve done to earn it is survive 18 years of complacent middle-class life. maybe there should be tests to see if you’re aloud to do these things, you know, like real rights of passage. imagine having to be tested on your knoledge of us history and the political/social workings of America to be able to vote. i know it sounds blasphemous and as i type i’m realizing how remarkably stupid it is, but it’s just an idea. or maybe you could be officially dissallowed from turning 18 until you do x amounts of civil service. i can just imagine some jerk saying “I’ve been 17 for the past 23 years, and i’ll still be damned if i have to work in any damn soup kitchen helping welfare leeches just to be able to vote!” ah well. time to shut my brain up with the mindless drudgery of homework.

on second thought, i think i’ll remind all (hehe, all) you mac users out there that the sequel to Escape Velocity, that swank space-faring game from good ol’ Ambrosia Software, has been released for download. It’s called Escape Velocity: Overdrive and its neat and you gotta go to Ambrosia Software’s web site and download it. the only problem i’ve experienced with it is the fact that it runs a little slow on my antedeluvian mac (and i mean that in a very litteral sense: even Moses left his Performa 6116 behind him when he got on that ark).
