comment: man, i’m 60 random’s old

complaint: why is it that every time your riding in someone’s car while they’re playing music and you happen to say something like “i like this song” or “this is pretty cool” or even “isn’t this so-and-so?” that the driver always feels obliged to turn the volume up?! as if higher volume automatically enhances listening pleasure. if i want the damn volume turned up, i’ll bloody well say so!

addendum: here’s another dan quayle quote, provided by comrade jess:

“The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation’s history… this century’s

history…. We all lived in this century. I didn’t live in this century.”

– Dan Quayle, then Indiana senator and Republican vice-presidential candidate

during a news conference in which he was asked his opinion of the Holocaust.

obituary: this past wednesday, the final episode of babylon 5 was aired, and it really was rather beautiful, but of course all you fools who never watched the series would never even understand the relevance. *sigh* i was struck with the need to rewatch the entire series that night, but then i realised that to do so, i would have to watch for over 4 days straight, and that i would eventually go insane and die. oh well. good bye cruel world.
