ASIAN AMERICA. RIGHT.

I’m watching a whole TV network dedicated to Asian Americans, AZN, and, well, it’s embarrassing. The idea that people with as much mutual antipathy as Indians, Chinese, and Japanese^* might suddenly share some common identity under the thumb of white American expectations of overachievement and martial arts abilities has always struck me as rather preposterous. And now there’s a whole network dedicated to this tomfoolery, populated by smiling idiots with fauxhawks lamenting their parents’ expectations of law and/or medical degrees. Oh, and bad, old, dubbed anime. Oh, wait, I guess these are just the stupid Asian Americans.

^*I’m assuming the rest of Asia spends too much time getting really abused by everyone else, and lo, the planet itself, to have the time to hate their neighbors.
